IELTS, CELPIP, TEF and PTE Exam Preparation

Your language score can make or break your CRS points, your OINP eligibility, or your study permit approval. We coach for the test you're actually taking, not a generic English or French class.

Why Your Language Test Score Matters So Much

For most Canada immigration pathways, your language test score is not just a formality, it directly feeds into your CRS points under Express Entry, decides which OINP streams you qualify for, and can be the difference between an approved or refused study permit. Each test, IELTS, CELPIP, PTE, TOEFL, TEF Canada and TCF Canada, is scored differently and rewards slightly different skills, so studying generic English or French is not the same as preparing for the specific test you are taking.
Our coaching is built around the actual scoring rubric of each test, using real past patterns and timed practice, so you are training for the exam in front of you rather than English in general.

Which Test Should You Take?

Targeting French-language CRS points or OINP streams TEF Canada or TCF Canada
Preferring a fully computer-based test PTE Academic or CELPIP
Needing results in a very short timeframe PTE Academic, fastest turnaround for results

FAQS

Exam Preparation Questions

Which test gives the highest CRS points, IELTS or CELPIP?

+

Neither test inherently gives more points, IELTS and CELPIP General scores are converted to the same Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) scale, so a CLB 9 from either test earns identical CRS points. The right choice usually comes down to which test format suits you better.

How long does it take to improve from CLB 7 to CLB 9?

+

It depends heavily on your starting point and which skill is holding you back, but most focused candidates see meaningful improvement in four to eight weeks of structured practice, especially in Writing and Speaking, which tend to be the hardest sections to move.

Is PTE easier than IELTS?

+

Not necessarily easier, just different, PTE is fully computer-based and scores are generated partly by AI, which some candidates find less stressful than a face-to-face IELTS speaking test. We help you choose based on your strengths, not general opinions online.

Do I need TEF Canada if I'm not applying through Express Entry?

+

If you’re targeting OINP’s French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream, or want additional CRS points for French ability, TEF Canada or TCF Canada is worth it even alongside an English test. We’ll tell you if it actually moves the needle for your specific application.

What happens if I don't hit my target score on the first attempt?

+

We review your section-wise breakdown, identify exactly what cost you points, and build a focused retake plan rather than just repeating the same preparation. Most candidates who retake with a targeted plan see a real improvement in their weak section.
